CHOCOLATE FACTORY

FOOD

Chocolate piping installation.

A renovation and expansion of the chocolate pipes has been carried out.

The factory processes chocolate products, both in liuid state, and in the form of bars, drops, and discs.

PROJECT DETAILS

CUSTOMER

SPANISH COMPANY FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF CHOCOLATES AND COCOA DERIVATIVES.

It is part of the largest-capacity chocolate manufacturing group in Spain.

PROJECT TYPE

Expansion of chocolate pipes, for feeding from new buffer tanks to various consumption points (direct discharge to tanks, feeding to shells, moulding lines, etc.

The initial drawing, flow charts, and 3D isometric drawing are made.

Factory production capacity is increased.

TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS

More than 1000 meters of double-jacketed pipes for recirculation and transfer of liquid chocolate to different points of consumption.

Manufacture in workshop and on site of stainless steel pipes, with food quality standards.

Supply of all instrumentation and control valves.

Electrical and pneumatic wiring of the installation elements, for integrated control via PLC and touch screen of the various sources and consumption points.

REQUIREMENTS

Increase the production of the factory in operation.

Renovation of obsolete pipes, and expansion of new production lines.

Completion of all pipe installation work in a very short time and with the factory up and running.

The design of the 3D isometrics of the pipes was highly complex, as it was an existing factory with a multitude of pipes already installed. Coordination and measurement was essential.

Engineering to define pipe slopes, number of valves, pipe dimensioning.

VALUE-ADDED PROPOSITION AND SOLUTIONS

A multitude of innovation and engineering solutions were included: from the correct selection of materials, and valves, to their manufacture and welding.

The most complex aspect of this installation was to avoid interference with the existing lines, taking into account the necessary slope in the new pipes.

For this, several measurements were made of the existing installation to check that no interference was generated in the design / construction.

In addition, before assembly, the installation was pre-designed in 3D to ensure that no interferences were created.

The design of the support required a structural calculation by our engineers.

Once all this work was done, the installation of the pipes was carried out, according to the measurements and isometrics made.
